Accepted File Types

Toolpath currently accepts STEP files.

Toolpath accepts STEP file uploads with the .step or .stp file extension. STEP is an open and universal format that can be exported by any CAD/CAM program.

File Guidelines

  • Export only a single body, do not include a full assembly.
  • Export from the parametric/analytical/BREP geometry, do not convert a tessellated format such as .stl or .3mf .
  • Do not model threads; you can indicate threads within Toolpath.
