How to install the Toolpath Add-In for Fusion
Install the Toolpath Add-In for Fusion to open, edit, and post process machining operations generated by Toolpath in Fusion
To install the Toolpath Add-In for Fusion, please follow the instructions below:
- Download the Toolpath Add-In .ZIP file by clicking the link here.
- Unzip the file by double clicking it or right clicking and selecting "Unzip". This will create a new folder. Windows will often create a duplicate sub folder in the unzipped result, be sure to copy the one that contains all the add-in files.
- Copy the unzipped folder to the following location on your local drive:
- Windows: %appdata%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\API\AddIns
- macOS: anywhere outside of your "Downloads" folder. Make a note of this location.
- Open Fusion.
- In any Fusion workspace, go to the Utilities tab and open "Scripts and Add-ins".
- Go to "Add-ins".
- Click the green + icon next to "My Add-Ins" to open Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows).
- Navigate to the folder you copied in Step #3, select the top level of the folder, and click the "Open" button.
- You will now see Toolpath under My Add-ins.
- Ensure the "Run on Startup" checkbox is selected and click "Run".
- You will now see the Toolpath Add-In in the Design and Manufacture workspaces in Fusion.
If you receive an error when using the Import Program option in the Toolpath Add-In for Fusion, please start troubleshooting by using the Update Add-In command and restarting Fusion. This should allow parts to be imported.
