How to Recalculate a Program

Recalculate programs after making changes to Tool Libraries or Cut Configs to update your machinability analysis results

If you make changes to a tool library or Cut Config, Toolpath needs to recalculate existing parts to reflect these changes.

If you are receiving an error when exporting to Fusion that states "The program you are trying to pull into Fusion is too old...", you will need to recalculate the part.

To recalculate a program using the same Cut Config, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open the part you want to recalculate.
  2. Click the vertical ellipse in the top right hand corner and select Recalculate:
    recalc top right
  3. Toolpath will recalculate the part and update the machinability analysis to account for any tool library or Cut Config changes made since the part was last run.

If you'd like to calculate the program with a different or new Cut Config, you can change cut configs by either editing the report or through the drop down at the top of the screen.

Use the Drop Down:

  1. At the top of any report, to the right of the part name, click on the current Cut Config.
  2. Select the Cut Config to recalculate the part with from the drop down list:

Change Cut Configs by Editing the Report:

  1. Open the part you want to recalculate.
  2. Select Edit on the right hand side of the Summary page:
    edit
  3. Select the Cut Config and desired first setup orientation from the drop down lists:
