How to set Geometry Deviation Limits

Geometry Deviation defines how much Toolpath is allowed to vary from model geometry when selecting tools

For any machining results that fall into the range defined by the Ignore Deviations Under and Suggest Radius Deviations Up To values, Toolpath will use the tool resulting in the deviation and notify you in the Summary tab.

For more information on all Cut Config Machining preferences, please see How to Create Cut Configs

To set Deviation Limits:

  1. Edit the Cut Config you are editing Geometry Deviations in by clicking the name or edit through the kebab menu:
    edit cut config
  2. On the Overview page, enter your Ignore Deviations Under and Suggest Radius Deviations Up To values:
    geometry deviation
  3. In the example above, we are telling Toolpath;
    1. that deviation under 0.001" are allowed, and Toolpath should show these deviations in green,
    2. that Toolpath will show us deviation between 0.001" and 0.005" in orange, and that Toolpath can use tools that result in this deviation range to machine a feature,
    3. that any deviation over 0.005" is not allowed, and that Toolpath should show this feature as unmachinable (in red) with the selected Cut Config.
